So I’m typing this on my iPad that I got today, and all I can say is wow! It is truly an amazing device. From the first time I turned it on, it has been an amazing experience unlike anything I have taken apart of. If you can check it out… Flat out amazing!!!

I have to be honest, my first take of the iPad was, well… not very impressed. And that is coming from a Apple fan boy! But looking at some apps, I think it might be a good fit…for me. Here is the deal, I have been holding off from buying a Kindle until the iPad came out, and since the iPad will run all iPhone apps, including the Kindle app. Books are a go! I like the Kindle store for one reason, cheaper than the new iBook store. Next I was thinking about calling, well with the new SDK, Apple has unlocked VoIP. Which means one can make calls over WIFI and 3g! Heck yea… oh and for free! (up to a certain point, different for different apps) So putting these things together, iPhone apps running on the iPad, VoIP calling and hey lets throw in Skype and Google Voice, you might have a pretty stinking awesome setup. Especially if you travel a lot! Think about it, 10 hours of battery life, ebook reader, phone (i know, kinda a phone, and beautiful video). If your still not convienced look at the below:

$30 a month for unlimited 3g from AT&T
$10 a month for unlimited calling via iCall (the VoIP I was talking about above)
total:$40 a month, NO CONTRACT!
